The Spokane Fire department is responsible for the safety and well being of the local community. They are responsible for protecting people from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials or incidents. They also work to prevent fires through fire prevention education, and work to provide emergency medical services to those in need.
Spokane Community Gardens connects the local community with gardens, resources and creating a local food community here in the Inland Northwest. They support School, Youth Program, Community, and Service Gardens all around the community. Community gardens are open to the public and can either offer individual plots or be gardened communally.
This organization is amazing. Their whole purpose, is to provide students in the state of Washington who have special needs and disabilities with the opportunity to play sports. They partner with school districts and community centers to create teams and local sports organizations. They treat their sports just like the Olympics we all watch on TV every four years.
The purpose of this organization is to provide a place where anyone can send letters to active duty or veteran members of the forces. They give locations where you can drop of your letters and they mail them out or you can mail them to their head location and then they mail them out to troops. This organization gives the members of the military support and encouragement for all they do and all they have sacrificed. They not only deliver letters but also hold donations, so they are able to send care packages and essential needs to the ones currently serving.
Not only can any community give recognition for these hard-working solders, but they also can helo them once they have come back from overseas jobs. There is a program called ‘Fund A Scholar’ where the program helps members of the military complete their degree or find a future once they are either retiring out or simply wanting a degree for progress forward in their lives.
The Post Falls Police Department was created more than one hundred years ago. Since then, it has established a long tradition of excellent service delivered in an atmosphere of ethical, caring behavior. The growth and well-being of a city are profoundly affected by the character and efficiency of its police officers. The Post Falls Police Department is proud to have contributed to the safety, quality of life, and greatness of the City of Post Falls.
Operation Gratitude sends care packages filled with items donated by grateful Americans and service-friendly companies that want to express their support for Heroes serving overseas and here at home. Their goal is to bridge the civilian-service divide.
