The purpose of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is to be a positive influence in the community. This is accomplished by promoting and delivering quality services that result in citizen’s feeling safe and secure. The organization is composed of highly motivated professionals who provide resources to maintain communitywide security.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office makes a difference in the community by coming together to enhance effective law enforcement. This organization makes a difference by offering a wide variety of programs for citizens to get involved in to help ensure community safety and to make a difference. Programs include neighborhood watch, school patrol, fingerprint programs, and vacation home checks. Another big impact Spokane County Sheriff’s Office makes in the community is by providing youth programs. These programs help young people mature and prepare them to be responsible and caring adults. The Sheriff’s office is sworn to enforce and protect public peace and safety in many ways such as air support, patrol division and emergency management.
I think there are many ways teachers and students could partner with The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office to make a difference. One way is to have officers come into classroom and inform students about what they do in the community. Another way to partner would also be making thank you cards for officers for keeping the community a safe place to be.
