The Spokane Fire department is responsible for the safety and well being of the local community. They are responsible for protecting people from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials or incidents. They also work to prevent fires through fire prevention education, and work to provide emergency medical services to those in need.
The Spokane fire department makes a difference in our community by keeping us safe from not only fires, but also a variety of other hazardous and medical situations. They respond daily to calls to help the people in our area with any emergency situation that they may be struggling with, as well as providing education to the public about ways that they can ensure safety in their homes. As teachers, we should partner with this organization because it is important for us, as well as our students to be well informed about the dangers around us, and how they can be best prevented. From a young age students should be learning ways to keep themselves and others around them safe.
Teachers can partner with this organization by simply reaching out and calling the phone number listed below for the Spokane fire department, or by sending an email to the email listed below. The Spokane Fire Department can be a very helpful resource to bring into the classroom to give talks about safety. In my classroom, I brought in a member of the Spokane Fire Department to talk to my students about fire safety and how to respond to an emergency situation.
