Dear Campus Community,
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide you with an update on the University’s remediation and testing efforts related to the library. The week of June 18th, the University closed the library and hired an external cleaning firm, American Building Maintenance, who conducted a comprehensive cleaning of the building. In addition, the President authorized the use of her reserves to hire two additional custodians to ensure that cleanliness of the library is effectively maintained.
Since that cleaning was completed, additional testing has been conducted. You will find posted the tape lift results from July 9, 2018 and an HVAC Performance Review from July 12, 2018. The University’s Environmental Health and Safety Department will be engaging in ongoing monitoring and testing.
