January’s Topic for discussion:
Navigating the Challenges of Immigration and VISAS for International Faculty
Please come prepared to share your thoughts and ideas about the ways EWU can better assist international faculty with the unique challenges they face concerning immigration and VISAS. Ideas will be compiled and presented to administrators to clarify the university’s position and responsibility toward international faculty, as well as to articulate the kinds of assistance that are available for this community.

Be prepared to share something fun and exciting you did over break to rejuvenate your spirit! You may also bring a cultural/traditional dish to share with others and ring in the new year.
The EWU International Faculty Association, sponsored by the Faculty Commons, meets informally on the 2nd Friday of each month from 3-5 pm. This informal association addresses the needs of international faculty members by providing a space and time to meet, socialize, exchange ideas, share challenges, receive feedback, eat, etc. Attendees may decide whether to have an agenda or not. Speakers and events through FC may also be scheduled according to the desires of the group. If members just want to hang out that is fine, as well. Faculty and administrators in support of assisting and mentoring international faculty are invited to attend.
