EWU Geology Outreach – a stone’s throw away
Hands-on in-person live geology for K-12 students and the public-at-large across the Inland Northwest. We strive to bring high energy (brecciated) learning environments to K-12 classroom visits, annual science nights, non-profit nature walks, home-school groups, scout troops gatherings and beyond. Additionally we are available for field trip opportunities for local school districts to visit Eastern Washington University. Earth science is historically underrepresented in K-12 curriculum and the entire geology faculty and staff, undergraduate geology majors and earth-science teaching majors strive to fill the void in geologic knowledge.
