The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is an annual survey designed to measure the level of student participation in programs and activities that institutions offer for their learning and personal development. The survey is administered to First Time In College (FTIC/Freshmen) as well as Seniors. The results provide an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. EWU participates in NSSE once every three years, with the aspiration that students will participate in the survey twice.
