For this tool the student will sit in a circle. They will turn to the person next to them and mention one thing they did the previous day then say “good morning”. After the students have said one thing they did the previous day and a good morning they will turn to the other student and a different question the teacher provided, they will also say good morning when they are done. After the students have shared with the people next to them they can raise their hand and share something they said to a partner.
This tool should be used at the beginning of the day because it can help the students with focusing later in the day. This tool is used in the school I am placed and I have noticed that the students have created a stronger bond between each other. They ask other more for help then at the beginning of the school year.
This is the supportive stage because it gives the students the chance to get to know other students more. They can see what they have in common with their peers. The students have created a stronger bond between each other.
This is a student directed tool because the students get a prompt but are leading the conversation that is going.
