Some students have a hard time focusing on academics in the classroom and need a fidget tool. Research has proven by using a fidget device many students perform better academically and socially.
Tangle fidgets are easily one of the most beneficial fidget devices. An important element to keep in mind with fidgets is that many make noise, which is distracting to the rest of the classroom and shouldn’t be used. Tangle fidgets are easy, convenient and do not distract the rest of the class based on appearance. They help students who struggle to keep focus for a long period of time, and help the teacher run a more productive and effective classroom. Personally, I am a fidgeter. I pick at my nails when I do not have a tool to help my fidgeting which is unhealthy and results for me to be distracted in class. When I have used a tangle fidget I have personally noticed my higher attention span, and have been more active in the classroom. I would highly recommend buying some for the classroom and have provided a link to an amazon version.
I placed the tangle fidget in the supportive category because that is the best fit. Once you notice that someone could benefit through a fidget device (Preventative phase) then a tangle fidget could be used as a great supportive phase, because that is when this tool will actually be used. This tool could also be used in the Corrective phase because it can help solve issues on why students are distracted in the classroom. In my opinion, this tool is a part of the student directed and collaborative theories. I say this because the student is the one using this tool, but the teacher is the one who provides and offers the use in the classroom.
