EWU has resumed full operations. Current Covid-19 safety information is outlined below.
Stay Home if You are Sick
All EWU employees and students who are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID, such as the symptoms identified below, should stay home and get tested for COVID.
- Scratchy or sore throat
- Runny nose or congestion
- Difficulty breathing
- New loss of taste or smell
- Fever
- Chills or repeated shaking with chills
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
Testing
EWU encourages all campus community members to get tested for COVID whenever they are experiencing symptoms or have been potentially exposed. Covid Testing is no longer being administered on Campus.
Contact Tracing / Exposure
Due to the end of the state and federal requirements, EWU is no longer conducting contact tracing.
EWU encourages everyone to follow the current CDC protocols for isolation and exposure.

Vaccinations
For the period of fall 2021 through May 19, 2023, all students and employees were required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they had an approved medical or religious waiver. As of May 19, 2023, COVID vaccines are no longer required except for certain academic programs.
Masks
Consistent with State requirements, masks are optional.
Covid-19 Supplies
Central Stores stocks several products related to Covid-19, including masks and sanitizers. These items may be ordered through Central Stores website located here: https://staging-inside.ewu.edu/centralstores/
Covid-19 related products are no longer available at no charge.
