Task Force Nominations

Call for Nominations to the Strategic Resource Allocation Academic Program and Support Function Task Forces

Thank you for your assistance in this important process. Nominations have closed and are currently under review by the SRA Co-Champions. The campus community will be provided with an update as soon as task force membership has been confirmed.

The next step in the SRA process requires the active participation of a group of individuals who are willing to serve in important roles as members of the Academic Task Force or Support Task Force.

In the interest of securing the best possible candidates for membership, please nominate outstanding faculty and staff—both academic and support task forces—for possible appointment by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Between twelve to sixteen individuals will be needed for each task force to ensure appropriate diversity and institutional knowledge. Individuals selected for this responsibility are expected to attend two of three days of training scheduled for February 14-16 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on the Cheney campus. Individuals unable to attend their respective training days will not be considered for appointment.

The task forces’ charge is contained in the following sample charters: Academic Charter & Support Charter.

The desirable characteristics for members of the task forces include the following:

  • Understands and embraces the mission of EWU, is student-centered and would be an effective member of a team.
  • Representative of the diversity of the institution, including appropriate balances with respect to gender, ethnicity and school/unit representation.
  • Displays personal characteristics such as critical thinking, analytic skills, problem-solving, fair-mindedness and openness to differing viewpoints.
  • Has earned a high level of credibility as demonstrated by respect of peers, previous leadership experience and/or professional accomplishment.
  • Is known for getting things done and meeting commitments.
  • Demonstrates a willingness and capability of adopting an institutional (versus parochial) perspective.
