Archaeologist

Ms. Thompson has 16 years’ experience as a field and laboratory archaeologist. She has served as principal investigator, project manager, field director, crew member, and technical editor on all phases of archaeological research in central and south Texas, the southwestern U.S. and the southeastern U.S. She has also served as architectural historian and prepared HABS/HAER documentation for NRHP properties in south Texas and Alabama. Her primary area of interest is in the diet and subsistence strategies of coastal societies as identified in the ethnographic and archaeological record. She has written and served as technical editor for numerous cultural resources compliance reports and contributed to peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
