Construction Monitoring

AHS has developed numerous construction monitoring plans and inadvertent discovery plans for various local, state, and federal agencies conducting ground disturbing activities in high probability or culturally-sensitive areas.

Construction monitoring may be recommended where the presence or integrity of cultural resources may not be known even after background research and a pedestrian survey has been conducted. Some government agencies require construction monitoring as a condition of a review process and/or permit approval (e.g., NEPA, Corps of Engineers permit, etc.).

When cultural resources are identified during construction monitoring, AHS is capable of quickly responding ensuring resource protection and project completion.
