Where are they now?

Current job: Physical therapy aide at Tri-city Orthopedics and All Star Cheer Coach at Tri-City Edge
What do you do in your current role: As a physical therapy aide I connect with patients and take them through their journey of rehab in exercise training and sometimes be their personal cheerleader with encouragement! As a competitive cheer coach I take teams in many different levels to competitions all season, teaching kids cheer skills as well as team bonding!
Positions held & how did that help you post graduation? How has it helped you in your current job: I held the following positions: Marshall, Chapter life VP, New member educator and Panhellenic Rho Gamma. This has helped me with my social skills, creativity, responsibility, and gave me the opportunity and experience working with different types of people and to grow in all aspects of my “big girl job”
Skills, benefits, etc gained from going greek and or holding positions: Ive gained so much with my experiences in my Chapter. I learned how to communicate better reaching peoples needs of communication. As well as gaining self confidence through responsibility of those positions.

Where are they now?

Current job: Founder & Executive Director of The ISAAC Foundation (regional autism non profit)
What do you do in your current role: Executive Director - in short, I develop and maintain relationships with donors, community partners and families who are passionate about enhancing the lives of people touched by autism. Manage financial goals of the foundation and ensure that we are staying true to our foundation’s mission and core values.
Positions held & how did that help you post graduation? How has it helped you in your current job: I was the Financial Vice President and Marshall. It was the foundation for my knowledge and understanding of budgeting. The Marshall position helped me build my assertiveness.
Skills, benefits, etc gained from going greek and or holding positions: It helped me learn how to build relationships with a diverse group of people.
Advice: Time spent as an active member can help you build a very diverse set of skills that will benefit you in your professional career that will last a lifetime. Don’t be afraid to commit yourself to a leadership role. It is a huge foundational skill for working on boards throughout your career

Current job: I am currently Student Teaching and I am ending my term as the ASEWU President (student government at EWU)
What do you do in your current role: I teach children as a student teacher and I am graduating with two degrees in Theatre & Elementary Education with a Theatre Endorsement.
Positions held & how did that help you post graduation? How has it helped you in your current job: I held the following positions in Alpha Omicron Pi: Vice President of Education, Vice President of Academic Development, Song Leader, and Membership Selection Chair. Holding these positions helped me learn skills to be a successful and capable leader.
Skills, benefits, etc gained from going greek and or holding positions:
Advice: Something I learned was that I was able to speak and work in big group of my peers. It also gave me valuable leadership skills.
