DIY Multi-purpose Stain Out 

An effective and low-cost DIY multi-purpose stain remover can be made by combining one part blue Dawn dish soap with two parts hydrogen peroxide. Spot test before use. Not ideal for dark fabric.


Use Cold Water +

  • For Blood >>> Use Hydrogen Peroxide

  • For Chocolate >>> Use Dish Soap

  • For Red Wine >>> Use White Wine

  • For Coffee >>> Use Dish Soap

  • For Soy Sauce >>> Use Vinegar

  • For Sweat >>> Use Lemon Juice


Use Hot Water +

  • For Mud >>> Use Dish Soap

  • For Tomato Sauce >>> Use Vinegar

  • For Grease >>> Use Dish Soap

  • For Makeup >>>> Use Shaving Cream

  • For Mustard >>> Use Vinegar

  • For Grass >>> Use Vinegar


Sharpie Stains

  • On White Boards >>> Use Dry Erase Marker

  • On Clothes >>> Use Hand Sanitizer

  • On Walls >>> Use Toothpaste

  • On Counters >>> Use Hand Sanitizer

  • On Ceramic >>> Use Toothpaste + Baking Soda

  • On Wood >>> Use Rubbing Alcohol


Pet Messes

Urine and vomit can be some of the hardest stains/odors to remove. First, wipe up the mess as best as possible. Combine 16oz hydrogen peroxide, 1 tablespoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon dish soap. Soak the area and let air dry. Once dry vacuum leftover dust.
