EagleSync Updates

EagleSync has been updated with new features and functions, but it still serves all the needs of our student clubs and organizations. The new EagleSync is better designed to support new people with common interests, and find events that are open to all students. There is even a new mobile app that enables students to stay connected on-the-go.

In 2020, we started a partnership with a company called Presence to provide the EagleSync platform that supports the activities and functions for all of EWU's student clubs and organizations. We recognized that the Presence platform did not meet many of the needs of the EWU community, and received significant feedback about the platform from students, staff, and faculty. We incorporated your feedback in a search for a product that better meets the needs of EWU's community. After an extensive search, we are excited to announce that we have started a new partnership with a company called CampusGroups. This new version of EagleSync includes features heavily requested by students, staff, and faculty, and we hope you enjoy this experience.

The new EagleSync includes the following features:

• For Orgs
  • Improved event request process
  • Mobile event checkin w/ QR code scanning.
  • Improved budget management
  • Improved communication, including email templates and chat
  • Website templates for all clubs and orgs.
  • Co-sponsor events with multiple clubs and orgs.
• Students
  • Search for events based on tags (i.e. food, sports, leadership, music, etc.)
  • Meet other people with similar interests
  • Register (RSVP) to attend events
  • Earn points for prizes and awards throughout the year.
  • Participate in student elections.
  • Create a new club or org.
• Staff
  • Promote events to students
  • Coordinate resources to support student engagement opportunities.
  • Advise student clubs and orgs
  • Communicate with student clubs and orgs within the platform.
• Community organizations
  • Promote service and volunteer opportunities
  • Serve as unofficial advisor for student clubs and organizations (official advisors for SFL chapters).
