Spokane twin brothers Daniel and Tristin Goodwin are celebrating their high school graduation from home this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But this celebration is extra special to the brothers and their family, as they are the first in their family to graduate from high school.
“I had them at 16 and dropped out of school and married in order to take care of them,” says their mother Stephanie McKinney. “Our family is beyond proud.”
McKinney says Daniel and Tristin will continue their education, they both plan to attend Eastern Washington University in the fall. The brothers’ story was recently featured on KREM 2 News. You can watch the full story below.
