The 2020 Class of the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame was announced Thursday, and it includes a face familiar to Eagle Nation. EWU’s Athletic Director, Lynn Hickey, is among the inductees.
Before signing on with the Eagles in early 2018, Hickey served as the Director of Athletics for the University of Texas, San Antonio (UTSA) for 18 years. During her tenure, UTSA experienced unprecedented growth by adding football and women’s soccer and golf. Hickey also developed a student-athlete centered program that combined academic success, leadership development, strength and conditioning and life skills.
Hickey will be honored in the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame Tribute ceremony in March 2020.
