Last year’s event, organized by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, was attended by hundreds of people and was hosted by the Seattle Public Library and SeaMar. This year’s virtual event is free and accessible to the public via Zoom. The majority of sessions will be conducted in Spanish, although some will be conducted in English. All sessions, however, will be recorded and available to view with English language captions after the conclusion of the conference so as to enable the participation of non-Spanish speakers. The goal of the conference is to raise awareness about the importance of Spanish in the U.S. and the cultural challenges Spanish speakers have historically faced—and still face today.

Registration is required to participate. Click the links below to see the full program, register for the conference and receive a personalized web link to participate in the sessions.
