Mariann Donley, who previously worked with the EWU Department of Education, died on May 12, 2020 in Spokane. She was 82.
According to her obituary published in The Spokesman-Review, Donley taught elementary school for a combined 42 years in California, Illinois and her longest stint at Betz Elementary School in Cheney, where she taught 4th grade. After retiring from public education, she was asked to work with the Eastern Education Department where she spent 15 years supervising student teachers and teaching classes.
Donley is survived by her husband of 62 years, retired EWU history professor Dick Donley, as well as children and grandchildren. Read her full obituary and leave condolences for the family below.
