William “Bill” Wolrehammer died May 8, 2020 at his home in Cheney following a battle with an illness stemming from his time served in the Vietnam War. He was 88.
According to his obituary published in The Spokesman-Review, Wolrehammer joined the military in 1952. After retiring in 1978, he attended the Hotel/Motel Management and Culinary Institute at Spokane Community College. Wolrehammer then worked in the Eastern Washington University Tawanka Hall food warehouse until his retirement from the private sector in 1997. He gave 15 years of service to EWU Dining Services.
Wolrehammer is survived by his spouse Freida, who is also an EWU retiree, as well as children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Click here to read Wolrehammer’s full obituary.
