EWU’s undergraduate literary magazine, Northwest Boulevard, is actively seeking submissions of prose, poetry and the visual arts. To showcase the creative endeavors of the student body, the digital magazine for undergraduate students is reopened for submissions.
If you are a currently-enrolled EWU undergraduate student you may submit work, regardless of what degree program you are enrolled in. Material from all disciplines on any subject is accepted. Inspiration can be drawn from anywhere. Consider topics like: resilience, survival, loss and joy in the current moment. We ask that you submit only completed and polished works, not a first draft or work-in-progress.
Since the 1980s, Northwest Boulevard has published generations of EWU undergraduate writers. For most, the magazine proudly represents their first publication, and many have gone on to publish books and widely in national magazines. Through its entire history, the magazine has always been edited and produced entirely by Eastern undergraduate students.
Submissions are open now, and will continue to be accepted until May 1.
Check out their website for comprehensive guidelines and instructions for submission.
